More than a hundred years ago, a passionate young man stated that the youth is the hope of our future.
The universal definition of 'youth' as stated by the United Nations are the people whose age ranges from 15 to 24 years old. This gives us around 9 years of striving and pushing towards the goal of improving for oneself and for others. But what does it take to be the hope of the future? What does it mean to be the light when the world is dark? Who is this man who said that we are the hope of the future, after all?
More than a hundred years ago, a passionate young man stated that the youth is the hope of our future. But he did not only declaim that, he fulfilled it. He became a qualified doctor, prolific writer, and potent artist. But that doesn't stop there. More than anything, he fought to reclaim the freedom and dignity that our nation deserves. Through utilizing traditional forms of media, this young man was able to start the change in landscape of the nation.

10-year old Janna Jihad is born and raised in the Palestanian war zone. Having heard gunshots and having seen crimes occur from time to time, she feels deep in her heart that though she is young, it is her responsibility to record Israeli injustices throughout the Internet and the world because who else will?
Apparently, not everyone is as brave as she is. This is why media platforms like television channels usually do not cater the chance to newscast events like these. Even journalists of great age gets surrounded by fear by simply thinking of going against a powerful group. Her actions resulted into having the news about the Palestanian war broadcasted to the whole wide world, through the Internet. This then promotes and invites help from people and organizations inside and outside the country. A courageous and unstoppable woman, she is surely trapped in a young girl's body.
Lastly, Janna Jihad only used her mother's phone for documentation and journalism. You see, there is no need for fancy tools and grand equipment. If we want to help, we can help. If she can, we can, too! We only need to have the heart to start!
